Who is Jesus?
WHO IS JESUS? Who is Jesus? What did He do? What did He say? What does He mean to us and all man kind? How can you meet Him? Is He really coming back?
There are a vast amount of questions about Jesus.
Jesus is probably the most talked about person on the planet. Although He was born many, many years ago it’s amazing to think that working with just 12 men for 3 years, over 2000 years later He now has over 3 billion followers from nearly every country and ethnicity – that in itself is a miracle!
Much has been said about Jesus but we prefer to go to the Holy Bible to distinguish between myth and fact:
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6
Jesus is the very Image of God
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. (Colossians 1:15)
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. (Hebrews 1:3)
God created everything through Jesus
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. (Colossians 1:16)
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3)
But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. (Hebrews 1:2)
Jesus is the only one who could mediate between us and God
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1Timothy 2:5)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (1 John 2:1)
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)
